PE and Sport Premium Grant Expenditure 2025–2026
Bolton Primary School spent its full PE and Sport Premium allocation of £16,520 in the 2025 to 2026 academic year. This is the information we submitted to the Department for Education in our annual return.

Funding grant
Our total PE and Sport Premium for 2025 to 2026 was £16,520. There was no unspent grant remaining at the end of the academic year.
Grant spending
The largest share went on equipment and resources (£6,964.45), followed by extra-curricular opportunities (£4,692.61). Swimming spending is shown in the next section.

We targeted spending to provide or improve opportunities in PE, sport and physical activity for:
- pupils with SEND
- pupils with long-term medical conditions
- girls, increasing their access to PE lessons and extra-curricular sport
- disadvantaged pupils
Swimming and water safety
Every pupil in our 2025 to 2026 Year 6 cohort met all three national curriculum swimming standards.

We spent £1,878.24 on internal top-up swimming lessons and broadening aquatic opportunities. This spending had a positive impact on swimming and water safety attainment.
Looking ahead to 2026 to 2027
From the new PE and School Sport Partnerships Network, the support that would most benefit our school is help with equipment and resources, and with school sports competitions including transport.
